ESCA has been closely monitoring the General Plan Update and Climate Action Plan (part of the General Plan but being considered separately).
Last year, ESCA participated with other neighborhood associations in reviewing and commenting on the Climate Action Plan. ESCA also provided separate ESCA comments where we were not aligned with the other associations.
The City’s initiative to allow a greater array of housing in residential neighborhoods has certainly been controversial. In January 2021, ESCA submitted a comment letter to the City on the issue.
The revised Draft 2040 General Plan and Climate Action and Adaptation Plan is available for review by the public. Please go to this link to find out more.
